Description
The AS 1180 is a typical ladies' watch movement from the mid of last century. It is typical, since
one the one hand, its diameter measures the familiar 8 3/4 lignes, and on the other hand, since it builds
rather high due to the construction of the direct driven center second hand mechanism.
The AS 1180 already uses an Incabloc shock protection system for the screw balance, a long
regulator arm for better fine-tuning and three cap jewels for anchor- and second wheel. The upper
plate is quite small (compared to e.g. an ETA 1301)
and even contains two chatons for a more precise location of the jewels.
Of course, on the dial side, you'll find a yoke winding system and you'll also notice two
cap jewels.
