Description
The AS 1677, which was used by Dugena with their own caliber number "Dugena 2131", ist the
successor of the
AS 1012. Its size of 5 1/2 x 6 3/4 lignes stayed the same
as well as the plate layout and shapes of the plates. The differences to its predecessor are
in the balance and escapement mechanism: The hairspring is connected to a moveable stud, which
allows precise regulation of the synchronized beating and the balance now beats with contemporary
21600 A/h.
Of course an Incablock shock protection is used on the balance cock. On the dial side, another,
unknown, shock protection system, technically similar to Incabloc, is used.
The layout of the gears stayed the same with the directly driven center minute gear and the
escapement wheel partially running below the fourth wheel jewel.

On the dial side, there are hardly any visual and no technical differences at all to the
AS 1012. Of course, a yoke winding system is used here, too.
