Description
The AS 970 is a very appealing and very well made ladies' watch movement, which partially
resembles of traditional movement manufacturing. The anchor wheel block (which was also available
in an alternative version with deck jewel) and the dial screws very much remind of the
former
caliber 676. Nevertheless, the AS 970 already
uses an Incabloc shock protection and drives a small decentral second hand. Other versions
use different shock protection systems, such as KIF Protechoc.
Some versions even use a kind of leaf spring, that attaches the movement to the case back
and preserves it against shocks.
This movement was available with a nickel screw balance and with a gold-tone Glucycur screw
balance. Later versions of this movement, which was listed in the Flume K3 with a diameter
of 8 3/4 lignes (in contrast to the measured 8 1/2 lignes), were available with a screw-less
balance, too, which means, that this movement was available over a long period of time.
During that time, there were also other versions made without seperate anchor wheel cock.
