Description
The Ebosa Caliber 86 is a very raw looking movement.
It does not contain any jewels at all, has got a pointed staff balance and an indirect
center second, which is driven one by one by the second wheel. Since the minute wheel
is indirectly driven too (by the mainspring barrel), there's no hole in the
middle of the movement plate and the spare place can be used by the large ratched
wheel.
The yoke winding mechanism is unusual for such a simple movement, and its construction
with the spring integrated into the end of the yoke and the very simple constructed
holding of the clutch wheel is hardly anywhere else seen. It is certainly constructed
for price, not for lonevity.
