Description
The ETA 1301, which was produced around 1950 is an interesting ladies' watch movement. It
is rather small with a diameter of 8 3/4 lignes and so ideal for small watches.
It uses a large, gold-toned, Incabloc-protected Glucydur balance with screws and a long
regulator arm for the hairspring and so guarantees a quite high precision.
The construction of this movement is unusually high, around the ratched wheel, there are
even two gears above it. The large height is due to the directly driven center second hand
and to the still center-located, directly driven minute wheel. In later constructions, the
minute wheel is driven indirectly and on the dial side, to free enough space for placing
the second wheel below the single main plate.
Technically and optically this is a very nice movement.
