The 10 1/2 ligne Osco Caliber 1060 is a very classical constructed handwinding movement.
The screw balance with its two extremely thin legs is secured in two KIF Trior shock protecting
systems, and should allow good precision results, which can be verified with the directly driven
center second hand. Furthermore, the anchor wheel runs within two bearings with cap jewels. This might
also improve the precision and longevity.
The good impression of the movement side continues on the dial side: The Osco 1060 does not use
a rocking bar winding mechanism, as most other german movements do, but uses a real yoke winding
mechanism. Additional to that, there's a true speciality on this movement: The changing wheel
is closed on the top side. This is rather unique, but if has got any advantages - I don't know...
