Description
This movement, which bases on the
Otero 44 and therefor is stamped
as "Otero 44" contains a directly driven center second and a date indication, realized with
a disc.
The screw balance is beared in two Monorex shock protection systems and the effective length
of its hairspring is regulated by a long regulator arm.

| version with screw-less balance and Otex-shock protection |
|
To get the high number of 21 functional jewels, on this version, the escapement wheel,
fourth and third wheel are beared with cap jewels, although on the specimen shown here, two
of them are missing. The balance wheel is beared in two inhouse Otex shock protection
systems (which are normally used for axle bearings), round, but 6-shaped on its outer side.

On the dial side you see the attached date mechanism, which consists only of a date disc and
a driving wheel (located invisibly below the date disc). The disadvantage of this construction is,
that the diameter of the disk is small and the date window and numbers have to be small, too.

The movement is wound by a rocking bar winding mechanism, but here at well made
click mechanism is used.
