Description
This is the last electromechanical movement of the german Pforzheimer
Uhrenwerke. You can easily see all signs of the end of traditional watchmaking:
With much plastic and undecorated plates it resembles more of a quartz movement
instead of a classic mechanical movement. And just look at the regulator: How
shall that simple device of two metal strips with lots of tolerance achive
a good precision? Unfortunately, it cannot be tested, since the movement
is already gummy.
