Description
The PUW 700 is one of the earliest, probably
the earliest movement of the
german Pforzheimer Uhrenrohwerke factory. It still uses a cylinder escapement and
was produced before WW II.

The plates of this movement are already silver-colored. This is an indication, that
the PUW 700 is a rather modern movement - as long as you can say this from cylinder movements.

The ring balance is of course not shock protected, but is ruby-beared on both sides (both
with bearing ruby and cap ruby). There are no further jewels in this movement.

A notable fact on this movement is, that besides it simple construction, it shows details
of "better" movement, such as blued screws on the dial side.

The PUW 700 has got a rocking bar winding system and a constructively well made
click mechanism.
