PUW 73

Description
The PUW caliber 73 is a typical ladies' form movement in the common size of
5 3/4 x 7 lignes, which was also marked as Dugena 975 and available in different
versions.
One version was equipped with a screw balance and a rare Monorex shock protection,
another one had a screwless ring balance and an equally untypical KIF Trior
shock absorber. Besides this, it was made
like every other form movement of this size. On the dial plate, you can see the space
for an alternative bearing of the balance, probably even for a simple jewel without
shock protection. This might indicate, that this movement was constructed probably in
the 1950ies, where not all watches were equipped with shock protections, and on the
dial plate, you can also see the old "PUW" signature.
