Description
This nicely crafted small form movement dates from the early 1950ies was used in
inhouse Tissot ladies' watches.
With 6 x 8 lignes, it was not an ultra-small movement, but its construction with four gears
on the same level, is the same as on tinier ladies' movements.
The shock protected screw balance controls an conventinal pallet lever escapement with
surprisingly (for the fifties) fast 19800 A/h. The effective length of the hairspring
is regulated by a long regulator arm, and this all guarantees good precision.
The suffix "-1T" indicates, that this movement is an improved successor of the caliber
13,6. which debuted around 1949.

On the side view, you get a slight impression of the inner movement.
On the dial side, the Tissot 13.6-1T is decorated with slanted stripes, and of course, it uses
a yoke winding system.
