Uhrwerk with cylinder escapement

This old cylinder movement probably dates from the beginning of the last century. It shows clear signs of modification, such as the re-shaping of the main plate at the right, and a reworked click mechanism.
In terms of quality it was probably an upper class cylinder movement.

The click mechanism was obviously modified - at least the crude impression of the click allows this conclusion.

Here, a cylinder escapement is used with a non shock protected ring balance. With the exception of the minute wheel, all wheels are beared in rubies, which gives a total of 10 jewels - a familiar number in that time.

This movement has got not sub second hand and is not constructed for that at all.

The open-O-shape of the setting lever spring is very unique. By pressing of the sunken lever at "4", the yoke winding system can be switched from the winding position to the time setting position. This is typical on those old movements.
