HB 90

Description

The HB 90 belongs to the many ladies' watch form movements, which powered most ladies' watches since the 1960ies. It was released in the early 1970ies and from its construction, it is almost identical to the FHF 69.

With a size of 6 3/4 x 8 lignes, it is at maximum regular size, which was usual these days. There were only smaller form movements with a size of 5 1/2 lignes, which were used moreoften.

The HB 90 is pretty standard with its shock protected annular balance, beared in Antichoc S65 bearings, beating semi-fast with 21600 A/h. The balance regulares a conventional pallet lever movement, which is constructed here as a triangle with escapement wheel, fourth wheel and third wheel. The latter one is driven by the central minute wheel.

On the dial side, there’s a yoke winding system, on the movement side, the click mechanism contains a real ratchet.

Since the minute wheel is ruby beared, there was no need for cap jewels to achive the “magical” number of 17 jewels.
